African American Exodus

An article in today's New York Times chronicles the mass exodus of African Americans from New York City to the South.  In the experience of many African American families, New York City is becoming increasingly unaffordable and racist.  Both of these charges are serious ones for all of us who love New York.  It won't remain a great and interesting city if it proves unaffordable and unwelcoming to African Americans, and to middle class families in general.
